  • Good design.

I had an older one before . It was not brushless. This one is brushless and I noticed it seems to weigh a bit more. But it seems to have more power than my old one . I use it mainly for cutting PVC and firing strips 1 x 2 in. I was impressed on how much it can cut on one battery fully charged. I also used it to cut a 1-1/2 inch galvanized pipe. That pretty well sucked the charge out of one battery. I also bought this tool for its size. It's great great for working in tight spaces. Like plumbing work under cabinets.

  • Good name, great tool

Excellent tool. Perfect gap fill tool for saplings and branches larger than easily cut by loppers, and smaller than those requiring a full chain saw. No pull starting, quiet operation, and runs forever on a 9.0 Ah battery. A bit awkward to initiate cutting with gloves on, hopefully a newer version will employ longer tabs to help with this.

  • Excellent Portable Hacksaw

Great tool - no longer need to use my manual hacksaw - variable speed and good power for cutting mild steel rod and plate. Easy to hold, light for cutting area, large selection of blade types for wood, metal, and demo work.

  • So much better than a hacksaw!

I've had a Milwaukee sawzall for many years and it was always a great tool for big jobs but its size limited it to just that, big jobs. This hackzall is great for the smaller jobs where you would normally use a hacksaw and manually go to it. The quick change feature for blades and ability to have the teeth facing either way add to the versatility of this tool. The M12 hackzall is my new favorite tool!

  • Great saw

I am a dewalt guy but have to be honest this thing A million times better then my dewalt 18v sawzaw. Battery last way longer then I would have expected. plenty of juice to cut what ever you need to. the handle is great and make it very easy to hold and use one handed.

  • Love this tool

I held off for many years getting a cordless reciprocating saw. I have a corded, so really, why spend the extra $. But I finally went cordless on the m12, and I love it! I don’t know how it compares powerwise to my corded Dewalt, but it’s more than sufficient for my needs. I’ve been using it to chop things up in my yard (weed trees), and it’s great not having to drag a cord around.

  • I love it

I've had tons of Milwaukee tools over the years and have been generally pleased with them. But out of them all, this is the best tool they make. It's compact, the 4.0 batteries run a long time and I can't see any difference in cut performance between the 12V Fuel model and my old 18V regular model. I haven't seen or used anything else on the market that does what this little saw can do.

  • Awesome saw!

I have a large corded reciprocating saw and the tool is the best thing to ever come along. Works excellent for cutting all materials. I just couldn't live without it. The only drawback is it's size. Very hard to get in some tight spaces. After my last cordless battery drill died, I purchased a Milwaukee M12 drill. The power and torque from the new generation of battery operated tools is nothing but spectacular. I then decide to add tools that will use the same batteries. The Milwaukee 2520 M12 Hackzall delivers in all respects. Lightweight, tons of power and torque and can easily get into tight spaces. This is now my go-to saw. I will be adding other Milwaukee M12 tools to my arsenal. they are proven to be valuable assets. The tool from this vender was at a good price and arrived at the specified time. I will buy from them again.
