I can't imagine using a cellphone without a pop socket! I purchased my first one years ago when they were first invented and now I can't be without it. The greatest thing about a pop socket is the stability it gives your phone while you're texting or taking photographs. You can hang your arm out further over a ledge, window, etc and not worry about dropping the phone. It's also great for propping it up to watch media or to keep your phone raised above a dirty surface (like when you're getting coffee at a shop and don't want your phone to get wet).
