Bought it for a silverado 2014
This is a great chip to delete the v4, ive drive the truck 2 days and it feels alot of difference, i dont have no more the kick off from the transmission when it was from v4 to v8, also i hope oil consumption quits since is consuming 2 quarts on oil change and i barely have 75k miles on the 5.3 . Range technology AFM delete
Although mine was a used unit it works good keeps the V4 AFM from turning on so the truck has more power uses less oil & seems to not search for gears as much in the transmission when driving ! Some have said it will drain your battery down but I haven't had any issues with that at all & from what I could see is once it's put into use using the OBD port & run once the truck is shut off the light turns off so it should be off as far as I can tell ! Fuel mileage is about 1 gallon a mile less than before according to the instant economy gauge in my dash so it really hasn't effected the milage all that much on the hwy or around town & on back roads .Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Cure for AFM equipped vehicles, and problems that come with them
For GM vehicles with AFM, cures issues IE: engine runs smoother and slightly more responsive, transmission no longer searching through gears when my V6 use to go from 6 to 3 cylinders and 3 cylinders to 6. Less oil consumption, which has been an issue with GM AFM vehicles, as there is no more excessive pressure build up in engine, when cylinders use to shut off. Have not noticed less mpg yet. Should have purchased sooner. For those of you wanting to keep your GM AFM vehicles running well and prevent the inevitable costly repairs that are well documented with this AFM technology, consider this product. Does what it says it will do.
Works like it's supposed to, just plug it in and it disables AFM. My only two complaints are that the cost is relatively high for the single function it provides. Programmers do a lot more, but the cost of those are cheap by comparison. The only other thing I don't care for is how bright the LEDs are. I realize they serve a purpose, but I'm going to be painting over the ports to dim their output. To me, this is a $100 item, not $165+.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

2017 Chevy Silverado 1500

Works great on my 2018 v8 GMC 1500 Sierra! Lost a little mpg but worth it with the superior driveability. No check engine lights. I like how you can unplug it when I need to get a state inspection and no tampering is evident to the inspection station. Made my truck run a lot better
My Silverado was starting to consume oil and it was making a ticking noise when I started the engine. The oil pressure would drop even before it was time to change oil. I feared that I was going to need new lifters. As soon as I installed this device all my problems went away. Now that it always runs on all 8 cylinders the oil pressure stays up and there is very little oil consumption between oil changes.
