Great thermal proformens but the price is still quiet high
In my testing IC graphite Thermal Pad proformes exactly as ARCTIC MX-4. MX-4 is much cheaper but the thermal pad can be reused. If the price could come down below 10$ I would never use anything else. If the price could be lower than 5$ I would never recommend anything else, except for extreme cases. In the test-setup I run blender on first 4 cores, then 3,2 and 1. I log the CPU temp, air temp, humidity, CPU Watt and calculate a delta temp between the air and the CPU. As you can see the delta temp is about the same for MX-4 and the graphite pad.
