    Amazing sub

I installed this sub and was immediately impressed. I thought I would be let down like I was with other brands budget line subwoofers. This subwoofer sounds amazing, hits hard and is extremely loud. One subwoofer is as loud as all 4 that I had installed last season. Great investment and highly recommended

    Good Value for the Money.....Maybe...

Good looking build quality, at least surface level...i want to like this subwoofer, it sounds good and it gets down, but the particular W12K9D2 12" subwoofer i recieved is a supposed second reversion but i can't play it at any power, let alone rms power without smelling voice coil, they haven't blown or anything yet, but i constantly have to take it way easier on these than the specs would suggest, i figure with the voice coil smell, it's just a matter of time. At First i thought (or hoped) that maybe it was the new glue choice had to burn off, or was maybe over glued and had a burn off smell... probably wishful thinking, so they've lasted 3 weeks now hooked up...i don't have high hopes though... not sure what the exchange/return policy is on these. I've heard that rockville stands behind their product, but i've also heard the other way around quite a bit.

  • One hell of a gnarly bad-ass sub!!

The sub came at least a day earlier than I expected....I pulled that heavy monster out of the double shipping boxes and immediate I could tell this was one serious monster...I guess the 11 lbs. Magnet was the first clue....I loaded it into my 1.5 cubic foot t-line vented box( tight fit cuz box wasn't quite cut out for that large of a diameter sub- some modification required ....no biggie...) popped in some godsmack, and turned up the volume to about 8 and realized this thing POUNDS!! Let me tell u....the difference was amazing....I was running a little power acoustic 800 watt crypt subwoofer b4 @ around 600 watts @2 ohms and it was pretty loud...but running the Rockville @ 1 ohm and closer to 1200 watts was like night and day!! This speaker hit almost twice as hard at probably half the volume level!! Needless to say ....i was impressed!! The price was reasonable to say the least....i havent even had the volume on the system past 14 yet nor even broke in the sub and I think it's probably the best my system has ever sounded...I had to make a minor adjustment to the gain on my kenwood 4 channel to compensate for more bass...but other than that my little pos isuzu rodeo sounds pretty damn good....I dont see the need for any other upgrades in the bass department.... I'd say that probably the speaker should last for a good long time....the super high temp 3 inch voice coils haven't barely even heated up and no smell whatsoever has come from the box....( last couple of subs I ran smelled of burning voice coils if played to loud for too long).. the speaker in my opinion is really stout and all parts that matter are of high quality so I expect to problems with it over long term. I highly recommend this speaker to anyone!!!! I would definetly buy again without hesitation!!!

  • The sub is loud but not sure about longevity

The k9 12 sounds good and its decently loud. sadly I have not got much use out of it so far, there's a ticking noise under the dustcap. I would only run at most 630rms to this sub. No other complaints

  • Bad

They blow up and they u have to wait a mouth to get a shipping label and I still haven't got my money back and this was only at 650 RMS a peace thy would light your truck on fire at 5000...

  • Great sub 600 rms

I got this woofer for my work shop sounds great really happy with it I'm only putting 200 watts on it and man it shakes the walls it has runs about 550 watts rms and 650 max power but for the price it's a excellent woofer

  • Good budget don't trust the ts parameters real like 700 rms not 1000 rms

It sounds good but don't give it 1000 watts rms it will burn up in 5 min keep it around 700 rms and you'll be fine

  • Awesome!!!!!!

Whether Dual 4 or Dual 2 do yourself a favor (Budget build people) and try the K6 for beginners or K9 to prove overpriced sub buyers wrong.
