This listing is for a brand new 5 horsepower heavy-duty air compressor motor model number L1430T, this motor is 230 volt, 20.6 full load AMPS, 60 Hz, 184T Frame, 1 phase, 1 1/8" shaft, and 1725 RPM. This motor is specifically designed for use with air compressors to meet start up load/torque specifications. This motor can rotate in either direction. This can replace a higher rpm motor you will just have to use a larger pulley to make up the rpm's on your compressor.

Not as described used not new damaged in shipping.
This motor has a small bolt inside rolling around i paired $30.00 to have it removed. This motor was to be new but was used. The i removed the cover to get to the wires they insulation had already been removed back to expose the wires and the wires had been wrapped around before. So that tells me the motor was used not new as the ad description said. The cover that protects the fan at the rear of the motor was smashed against the fan which was plastic so i had to remove the fan cover then beat the cover out so the fan can turn without braking off the plastic fan blades.This happen because the someone dropped the box on its side that the fan was on and caused the very heavy motor to smash the over into the fan blades. The only way to have salved this problem would have been to bolt the motor down to a board which could have been in bottom of the box so the motor would not have been able to move in any direction no matter how is was dropped. But there was a no space where thee was no packing. That was perfect could not have been any better. The motor was just able to move in the box is all. Anyway, i had it fixed i will keep it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

I bought one of these motors for my big air compressor. (The Chinese motor originally installed had a fatal manufacturing defect, so it was no deal.) I have Baldor motors on several other pieces of equipment, and they're the industry standard. Very heavy duty.
