Great way to allow you to put your TV where you want it

Aggravating!
Supposedly doesn't work with satellite receivers...but it does. And it's easy as pie to hook up. That's the good part. Bad part is it claims a range of 50 feet through walls. Nope! I actually ran the cables through one wall to eliminate it because the signal strength was less than half at only about 35 feet and it still was just barely over half signal strength. Good news is, that move does allow it to work, sort of, but it drops connection every time. Sometimes it reacquires signal and sometimes it has to be manually reset by unplugging the receiver. Sometimes after 10 minutes it freezes, sometimes after an hour or two it freezes, but it always eventually freezes. However, it does work....mostly. Good for open space, not so much through walls.
It works great but has trouble penetrating ANY walls so even a 30' distance from one room into another is a struggle and no attempts to go from my living room to my attached carriage house about 30-35' could work. They claim 150' range and maybe it could do it in a large open space with nothing between the transmitter and receiver but air, but to get from room to room is a crap shoot at best and you can't predict success, you just have to try it. Perhaps if these operated at substantially lower frequency, they'd do much better, but I think they're constrained by law and forced into the 5GHz range which barely passes through walls.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

erractic operation
The installation is very good. Directions are good. The problem is if the transmitter is not in the same room with the receiver even though they are well within the range of the system with good signal strength displayed the receiver drops connection at random. sometimes it will re synch it self other times you will have to reset it. When it quits you can press the menu button and see that it is still well in range. Easy setup and good range
I lost my original MyWirelessTV due to a lightning strike and replaced it with this MyWirelessTV2. I don't notice any change in picture quality but the new one aseems to reboot quicker than the original one did, On thing that IS missing in the TV2 is the ability for one transmitter to bond with multiple receivers as the original TV did. That's a shame as we used to be able to simultaneously watch the same show in multiple locations. With the TV2 it's one transmitter to one receiver. Always loosing connections
I was referred to get this product from my Dish rep. I bought two of them, and both always loose connection. They are only about 10’ from each other! It’s so frustrating because they are a great idea to avoid any cables or having to fish wire through your walls, but the cost is way too high for the performance of the product. Easier that running cable or paying for a second cable box.
Used to link attic BR TV with cabled TIVO in basement about 22 ft away. No brick walls in between but two floors and two walls. Identical unit stopped working after 7 years. Outstanding assembly and works perfectly!
This transmitter is incredible and we love it! We have it in our living room, with all the cable boxes and wires tucked away in a cabinet, so they can not be seen. This transmitter works like a garage door opener...it doesn't need to be pointed at the TV or the cabinet where all the control and cable boxes are, you can hold it and point it at the ceiling if you like.
