Great Deal
Quiet, not oil to change, no gas to deal with. It's great. I live on large property and use 2 robotic mowers (Stihl brand) to mow the more refined areas. I utilize the Ryobi for the rougher and hillier areas. It handles the hills well - much better than I expected and feels very stable. My wife likes using it to pull yard trailers, etc, something she would never do with a gasoline powered mower. The unit I received was a great value. It was advertised as "refurbished", but what I received was clearly new, in original packaging that required assembly. It was half the price of new, but only a 30 day warranty vs 3 years. Was it worth selling my Toro 19 hp 42 inch zero turn for this? Naw..
The first time i used it was to cut normal height grass (3"). It did fine. Yesterday i needed to cut my daughters backyard and i was disappointed. Grass was about 7" high with some weeds included. I went slow with blade just above midway. I proceeded slowly to cut. Several times the blades stopped turning. Sometimes one, sometimes both. I ended up raising it completely to cut the yard. I am really disappointed as i had built myself up to being conscious about not using gas. I sold my Toro 42 inch 19 hp Kohler to buy this. I am doubting myself as to (was this the right thing to do?) my decision making. Maybe the 100 amp is better. I have the 75 amp model. I am now glad i did not settle for the cheaper 50 amp model. I suppose my next move will be to purchase the 100 amp batteries when these (75 amp) die. From all i can see on the internet is that you can interchange the batteries without a problem. The wire gauge is all the same. If i manage through the next six months i will follow up with comments. Here in New Orleans it rains quite a bit so i am sure i will be using it weekly. This is a Great lawn mower no problems
This is a Great mower cuts my lawn pretty and easy to handle just plug it in to charge and it is ready to cut or took my cart to it and do yard work. It is really quite when the mower is off not very loud when the mower is running. Don't have to worry about gas. It is good for our environment so green with one. A VERY GOOD PURCHASE
A very good purchase; yes it is expensive, but it's electric. Runs, mows, maneuvers perfectly. What was an hour and a half job is now one half hour. The cut is great, smooth and even; one of the best in the neighborhood. Ride is perfect, very comfortable. I have found that the negative internet comments on this machine are not correct. in any way. Drive motor is a golf cart hum. The mow blades sound like a box fan. Wanted to show off to the neighbors on their porch but they could not hear me.
