Very handy for users with arthritis or mobility problems.
There are plenty of knock-off versions of unknown quality. I decided to go with a known brand using 3 screws to mount it, and I am impressed with how solid it is. I have bought two of them so far for friends and may need one myself before long. The product works great for lids of all sizes. Sadly it is still difficult for people with shoulder injuries to hoist a heavy jar up to the opener (which is mounted on the underside of a top cabinet). Will not disappoint!
I am so happy I decided to purchase this jar opener. My husband and I were both having some difficulty opening jars and bottles and now it's a breeze with this opener. I like the idea of being installed under my cabinet because it's one less thing to be thrown in a drawer and easy access when needed. We did install it the opposite way the instructions noted (someone suggested this in a review) with the V point facing you and I'm glad we did. I find it easier to turn a jar clockwise as opposed to counter clockwise. Works like a charm
Opens all lids much easier than my last one, think it's because of the 2 rows of blades, holds the lids firmly while you twist the jar, even with one hand for some jars. My only issue was with installation, as the adhesive patch was not sticky at all, and 2 of the screws were not long enough to secure the opener to the cupboard, luckily I had spare screws that were long enough.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Labor saving device good for all ages.
I suffered for years trying to open jars. It is usually large jars that are hardest to open, which this device does easily. I'm a senior, but I think that it would make life easier for a younger person also.
