Solid Value for the Cost
I have 4 total Fiio DAC and headphone amp from Fiio. This one is as good as the others. I place it in the same class as a Creative Labs device. Good, but...
Sound is cleaner than my PC's sound card, but only slightly louder. I'm using fairly efficient 32 ohm headphones and I hoped this would drive them a bit harder than it does. I need almost full volume on the high gain setting to reach what I consider loud, and think this unit would be underpowered for what I would want with less efficient phones. This dac almost cooked my Sennheiser HD280s lol Absolute gem of a desktop dac, I mounted it to the side of my desk and it's perfect. For the price this is a great option.
