This huge DVD package could not have been more complete or engaging. No group of famous characters had or has been more devoted to number 1 cartoons than Warner Brothers' LOONEY TUNES. It is somewhat sad that these characters never were great FRIENDS with one another, but I would say that they would be friends with ME, YOU, and ALL adoring fans. While the remastered cartoons are well done the containers for the discs leave much to be desired. Several were broken due to improper assembly and/or shoddy quality control. This box set has it all ! So many episodes, you just might go Looney yourself. So nice seeing all my favorite Saturday morning cartoons, minus the commercials, although that would be interesting as well. Every episode you can think of is on here and it was worth the money to get it, as I STILL enjoy watching them. No political correctness involved with these cartoons ! They are presented as they were made, RAW! I watched and loved these cartoons as a child and I turned out ok RAPE THE VIRGIN....., I mean really... why do they think it was too violent ..KILL THE INNOCENT...I see no negative effects from watching these. Best cartoons of all time!
Brings back fond childhood memories, and even though these cartoons were on television when I was growing up in the 50's. They don't seem politically correct or aimed primarily at children due to there political satire, and some violence. Also some minor sexual overtone story lines can be imagined or implied. So these cartoons can be enjoyed by adults as well as children who probably won't understand the political or sexual story lines. The video quality is quite good, and for a low (about $40.00) price you get 24 discs with hours of cartoons. There are quite a bit of extras on all of the discs and in some cases it's possible to see the more rare Looney Tunes shorts that would be " controversial". For those who enjoy American animation it's a definite must buy for those who are collectors and casual people that enjoy cartoons. I really thought this would be bootleg copies, but it appears to be authentic! There is gold/holographic writing on the underneath side of the DVD’s that would be difficult to imitate. This collection is amazing and I am very happy I bought it. I paid around $40. If anyone is on the fence and it’s around $40, just buy it. With 24 discs, it is a great value! Most definitive Looney Tunes collection
This is the most definitive set produced. This has them all, plus ones unseen. There is alot of thought behind the arrangements on every dvd....mixing them up so as not to become bored in any one character or time period of them. Each disk has special features containing 'from the vaults', shorts and professionally made documentaries that are incredible. For some reason, these aren't on TV anymore. ...that I can find...so that is the reason I spent the money, but I'm glad I did. Now I have them all! I remember these from when I was a kid, and now my grandchildren are laughing out loud as they enjoy them, too. The cartoons are clean, funny, and harmless; and are such a nice alternative to some of the stuff that parents are willing to let their children watch.
