Five Classics from Emmylou
Emmylou Harris has been a favorite of mine for over 40 years; for longtime fans or newcomers here is a fine example of why she's always been one of the best................... five monumental albums that launched a stellar career, which continues even today. There's something here for everyone, be it country rock, ballads, pops, gospel, or pure country, Ms Harris delivers. I saw her live MANY years ago; these updates are a tribute to a singer who I feel was always a bit underappreciated, yet holds her own in sales and career longevity. Cheaply produced.
I was a little disappointed in this set. The flip box is flimsy, the individual slip covers are flimsy, the discs seem thinner than those in jewel cases and digi-paks, and the print on the slip covers is extremely small and faintly light. Still, it is Emmylou, and I had given up on being able to replace her early works I once had on vinyl only to be lost in a fire. Somehow, I feel like I have some long lost friends back. I recommend buying the set, if you really need your early Emmy Lou's replaced or if you don't mind the flimsy quality.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
