NotesVinyl LP pressing. A1A is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Jimmy Buffett, originally released in 1974. It's an album that chronicles his failed first marriage, his subsequent move to Florida and making music on his own terms. Tracks like "A Pirate Looks at Forty", "Migration", and "Makin' Music for Money" tell autobiographical tales that convey the importance of enjoying life, living free, and creating your own destiny. The album is named for Florida State Road A1A that runs mostly along the Atlantic Ocean and is the main road through most oceanfront towns. It is also referenced in the song "Trying To Reason With Hurricane Season".
Nice compilation of Buffett's most popular songs......If you are a Jimmy Buffett fan, you will enjoy this collection no doubt. Vinyl is flat, quiet and tonal quality is great. I would recommend this LP to anyone who enjoys the music of Mr. Buffett......takes you back to the beach, over and over again!
