    a serious disappointment

    This movie would only be moderately disappointing if its predecessor were not such an iconic, character driven film. But to follow the original "Wicker Man" ( not the Nicholas Cage atrocity) with this lackluster, character impeded, poorly paced offering is a real shame. The acting, particularly that ofbthe four principals, is a best weak, and at worst abysmal. The timing is haphazard, and does not lend itself to any real sense of suspense. There is only one truly sympathetic character in the whole movie, and she's a side player. Do yourselves a favor folks -- burn the wicker tree, and salt the earth to prevent regrowth.
