New Style w/180 Degree Air Valve
I bought this to replace my old style cap/valve/gauge which had blown open and emptied my pool until the skimmers were sucking air. Also, as the water shot straight up then back down onto my filter pump, it fried the capacitors (at least, if not the motor itself) on the motor. CAUTION: if your cap springs what seems to be a tiny pin-hole leak, SHUT OFF THE PUMP AND GET A NEW CAP. I waited a day or two to have this turn into a bigger issue involving pump repair. This replaces the old style with a slightly easier to use valve, otherwise you get the same functionality as the original. It may be that folks with newer filters get these new style valves (vs. the screw kind) anyway.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
