Great Tire Deal
Today, I had the tires installed (Mount, Balance, Stems w/ TPM, Alignment) on my 2016 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab Short Bed 4X4 (11,600 Original Miles), by my local tire shop. The Tech really liked their look and ease of balancing them with very few weight adjustments needed. When they pulled my truck out, I was very pleased with how the tires looked and they complimented the truck s appearance. I had to drive home via surface streets and freeway, with the tires handling better than the original Bridgestone tires and there was little tread noise, which the stereo covered when on. Like the tires, hate the noise..
Overall, they're pretty good quality for the price (although they did jump up a couple hundred bucks within a few days of adding them to our ebay cart..) but the biggest downfall - they are LOUD. If you enjoy a roaring hum while you drive or want a 5 minute heads up that your significant other is coming home early from work - these are for you. Otherwise, I'd try a different brand. Step up from highway tread
As I live in the mid-west winter and rainy season can be harsh and nobody wants to be stuck spinning their wheels. When I need to go, I need to go. I purchased these for my Ram Bighorn that is used mostly on the road but not all paths are paved. These tires have slightly more aggressive tread with minimal road noise. Aggressive tread but, not so aggressive that the ride is rough. About the same noise level on the pavement as a bfg all terrain but with the ability to actually carry a load. Shipping was fast and hassle free. And I cant wait to get these off road to see what the performance characteristics are out there. I certainly reccomend these to anyone out there looking to have a good all around tire. This is the second set of this brand, style and size. They appear to be in new condition. Balanced with no issue. Not a noisy tire. However, once they reached the point of needing replacement you could start to hear them a bit more. They are mounted on a 3/4 ton pickup that is 7200 lbs. Great tires
Great set of tires for an excellent price. I got the 33x12.50r20 on a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with a 2.50 inch Rough Country strut leveling kit with no cutting of any kind and I have no rubbing at all. I’ve only had them for about a week so far but they are performing well. They’re relatively quiet for such an aggressive A/T tire depending on speed and road surface. Decent reasonable tire.
Fast delivery, decent looking tire, bit noisy, not too noisy. Balancing was difficult. 3 of 4 tires took more than 3 ounces each. 1/3 of the way around the tire on both sides we needed wheel weights, but they are round and did balance out. Great tires, excellent value!
These tires were installed on my 2014 Ford Raptor last week. The tire installer didn't have any issues getting them balanced. Their ended up being a snowstorm the next day that dropped over a foot of very slushy wet snow. The Terra Hunters got great traction while driving around in 4WD and I had a ton of confidence in them. They get great dry traction as well and are not too loud at highway speeds.
