TMI on used replacement printer
Well...when I hooked it up it started very slowly...several minutes before anything happened. I printed just one sheet and it seemed to take forever. Then I did a double-sided sheet...5 copies...in color...and it seemed to be working fine. This was a replacement of a second printer that had died. My wife uses two printers to print her monthly 877 copy (8 page) prison newsletter. This particular printer is no longer manufactured but I wanted identical printers so that I would not have to be buying two different kinds of ink. Too much trouble
I hate this printer and curse it daily. The printer stops and waits several times during the printing of a single page. It takes 10 times the normal printing time to produce documents. Now the fax feature does not work and HP is not much help. My specific AiO is the 8620. I have never had so much trouble with a machine in my years of using a computer. I have spent hours and hours on the phone and online trying to get this printer to work correctly. At one point, HP shipped me a re-built machine trying to solve the problems. I think it is just a lemon. I will not purchase another product from HP, preferring to return to my old favorite Lexmark.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Happy to have found an HP 8610 that is identical to my 1st one from 2014
Replace my original HP 8610 (2014) with the same Model. The original stopped printing. Print Head issues? But wanted another just like the first one. Of course, these are no longer available at the BIG BOX Stores. Luckily, I found the NEW ONE on Ebay. It is now working fine, but it was somewhat difficult for me to get the Printer CONNECTED with my PG and Router. Older versions of hp products are usually better, and this is as well
the duplex works, it can be connected just by the usb cord, instant ink is not required in order for it to work, it has all the features you can want from a printer, including a little arm that extends out from the output tray to catch the paper as it comes out. Great printer but doesn't print well enough to use!
Printing is awful even after new cartridges. Got a professional at $140 because it wouldn't recognize my wifi and then he had to physically clean our the printhead. Still has terrible streaks and the colors and black ink are not brilliant. The printer itself is very nice but it just can't be used for printing. It streaks all over with white streaks. One of simplest setups one could hope for. Printer is a bit bulky & heavy. Don't mind that. I could see that this would be a problem for some people. Printer is made for a small office. Larger cartridge so more copies. Fax & copier are very easy to use with the touch screen display. A great value for around $100. Easy to set up, compatible with Windows 10, and wireless. Can't beat that. I can't print from my phone, tablet, laptop, etc. Ink cartridges aren't the cost of a kidney, either! And I use color a lot, so the separate color cartridges is a HUGE bonus for me!! No more wasting some colors just because you're out of one... Can't say enough great things about this printer!
