Excellent depiction of small town lives
I don’t know if this is for the book or the DVD but borh are extraordinary! I am a big Carson McCullers fan & I marvel at her writing, especially as she was 23 when she wrote “heart”. The characters, their feelings, thoughts & actions are finely drawn & memorable. I highly recommend both the book & the movie.

This a favorite of mine. Although it is older, it has meaning today as it looks at racial issues. Alan Arkin is outstanding as a man with speech and hearing impairment.
