  • No more answers to my questions on foods I can eat than before I read it.

    Good history and medical explanations. Does little to explain in detail how to stick to the diet. Intense food list for the diet is non-existent. That is crucial to help those of us overwhelmed by the diet to stick to it. Menus and recipes have ingredients that overwhelm both that are absolutely disgusting to most common folks like me. I would rather eat out of my garbage before following almost all of those suggestions. The cost of both are outside of my budget, and most people I know. Those sections are a waste of killed trees to make the paper to print them on. Having an intense list of good and bad foods would had at least given alternatives to these disgusting food recommendations. When you start a diet, the first thing you want to know is "what can I do to know I am sticking to this diet properly"? I can go through information that is interesting, but being able to stick to the diet first is far more important than learning the history and medical information. In that regard, it failed those of us who need to get right on the diet first. It is why I do not recommend this book. But the other information is interesting, and that is why I give the book 3 stars. I think most people buy this book because they don't understand how to stick to this diet enough not to need help. In that regard, I consider this book a failure.

    The book gives an easy diet to follow, but it's not really a diet, it's just learning how to eat healthy again. For me. I enjoyed reading the recipes that are mostly vegetarian recipes. And the smoothies are easy to follow the directions. And they explain how each food diet will help you maintain a healthy normal weight.
