Not a typical mystery book.
I couldn't put this down. I know some people didn't like the book, stating that the characters were 'shitty' people, and they are! No one has clean hands in this book. However, that's part of what made this such an interesting read! The characters are self centered, lost, destitute, and only out for themselves- everything that's at the core of humanity. I feel that author did a good job of capturing just how dark humans can be at the center-we're not much above the animals. The book was an easy read regarding the length of the book. However, it was difficult to keep all the characters straight. I would have to go back a few chapters to keep tabs on the character. This book was good. I wouldn't say that it it kept my interest during ever page, but there were a few twists. There were a few parts where I was just hoping that she would get to the point, or at least hoping that she was purposely building suspense, but overall it was a good read. If you really must know...
I bought this book, then I cut the center out of it and made it into a hollow book, so I can't really say anything about whether or not the book itself was a good read.
