This Altura Photo (model AP-UNV1) shoe mount flash attachment is universal and compatible with DSLR cameras. It has a well-designed foot that easily slides and fits on the camera shoe mount. It is used in S1/2 manual mode and has a 125-ft guide. This flash attachment can be controlled remotely and comes with a built-in flip-down wide-angle flash diffuser. Altura Flash In the field
I have been using this flash for my work with Louisiana Biker Magazine. I have mostly been using it as a fill flash, using the wireless trigger. I could not be happier with this. It is very easy to adjust the output of this flash to control the fill without affecting the overall exposure of the image. The included accessories all work great, I could not be happier. The slave modes trigger well, but I prefer the wireless trigger. Even shooting several shots in a row, the flash fired every time. I was running about mid-power, but recycle time was fast. I can't say how fast on full power, but I never found myself waiting on the flash to be ready. I have used this flash hard, and the first set of batteries is still going strong, much longer life than I would have expected. I really have no complaints, for the price I expect to buy a couple more. We used this flash for the cover shoot of our February 2016 issue.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Me and my son photographed a wedding
For a $35 flash I didn't expect much, and being universal it had to be manual. However I used a altura flash that was all digital and had ttl,rear curtain sync,etc and my back up photographer (my son) used a canon entry level t6 and that basic manual flash and I must say great buy for the price can't beat it. Everyone says when it comes to flash got to spend some money to get the right light, I don't believe in that 100% because if you watch there some great 3rd party company's doing great work at a very affordable price.. Best of the thrifty
This flash is very similar in build to the Godox flask I purchased previously but I think that the maximum light output is a bit higher on the Altura. Also, the accompanying trigger is very easy to use and makes the Altura the far better bargain, in my opinion.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
