Namura's Piston Information. Yamaha YZ125 2002 2003 2004. Reflects combustion heat and reduces carbon buildup, protecting the top of the piston. Yamaha YZ125Piston Top End Rebuild Kit. Yamaha YZ125Piston Top End Kit 2002 2003 2004.
03 YZ125 piston kit with all the parts and gaskets included
Bought this for 03 YZ125 and installed with new Yamaha cylinder that was damaged. The piston kit came with all the gaskets and o-rings, including the wrist pin, clips, rings, and piston. Simple to install, perfect fit (I bought the A kit because installed a brand new cylinder). Now have about 10 hours on the bike and it has 165 psi compression. Bike runs and sounds great. Had a 1999 KTM SX125 that also put a Namura piston kit in a few years ago. Rode it 2 season with about 60 hours and it still started and ran great. Compression was 125 psi when I sold it. I've read the smaller bore bikes have to be rebuilt with new rings (and) piston more often than the bigger bore, but 60 hours our of a 125cc 2-stroke riding all woods and enduros is impressive to me. I had a Wiesco forged piston in a 93 KTM 200 and when I rebuilt that one, I just put new rings. Got the same result as when I put a Namura piston kit. Difference is, on the Wiesco, I only had to do rings, which was still about $50 in parts. By going with Namura piston kit in the other 2 bikes, I knew I had a fresh piston each time so there was no question on piston wear. I have had very good luck with Namura and found their prices to be better than their competitors. If you have an older 2-stroke, Namura is a great way to go to save a few $ and still get great performance and life.
This is a very good product I have bought a few and this is the first one that I have actually had a problem with because the wrist pin bearing it came with the new piston and rings does not fit the wrist pin it is clearly the wrong wrist pin bearing it is way too small other than that this is a great product this is the first and only time that I have had a problem so far
