Compact with excellent clarity.
Bought these prior to a family holiday to deepest central France involving two cars travelling together. It served its purpose from the beginning as a general conversational link between cars and in particular when we got separated by the inevitable filtering onto roundabouts, or one car getting stopped by traffic lights when the first one had got through. It made getting back together a piece of cake. The rechargeable battery packs supplied with the units also had an amazingly long endurance between charges, even though we took back up Duracells just in case:- these were never needed even on drives as long as 5hours, there was loads of charge still left at the end. Great Little Walkie Talkie
These are great little units. Bought for a trip to France where we were using two vehicles. Worked very well to communication between the two vehicles. If you could see the other vehicle, you could talk to each other. Also used in Hypermarkets. Buildings obviously would reduce the range but they still had good performance. well packaged on delivery. In the kit was the 4 radios , batteries and two double charger leads as well as belt clips. They were easy to set up and easy to understand function wise. they look well built and reasonably robust. I would recommend the charging stations as opposed to the leads for ease of use and charging but the leads do the job. Primarily purchased as a versatile room monitor for alerting me during the night of the need for assistance and falls. The monitor mode is sound activated and sensitivity is adjustable. there is a slight delay in the activation but does the job it was intended for. I have not tested the range as a walkie talkie, but feel confident that they would perform well based on reviews read prior to purchase. It's not surprising that these radios won a design award. They are very solid, compact, and the transmit and receive audio is great. Perfect at festivals and events. About 1 mile range along Brighton seafront. I am a licenced radio ham, and it's a pleasure to use equipment like this which is very simple to use - just select a channel and privacy code and talk. Very useful piece of equipment
These are great little walkie talkies and have been useful when walking the dog. The sound is very clear and we have set up our own channel and side channel to remain in contact.
