Midway's popular NFL Blitz series comes to the tiny screen for the 2000 edition. This game features seven-on-seven football played without any penalties, so it's open season on every player on the field. Blistering tackles are not only encouraged, they're mandatory.<br><br>When you first start the game, you can choose between Arcade and Season modes. In the former, you select a team you want to play with and head out on the field. In the latter, you play through a full season with your team and hopefully make it to the playoffs and the Super Bowl. After each game you receive a password so that you can pick up where you left off later.<br><br>During each game, you can select between three viewing options. Coach mode puts you high above the action and replaces the players with the Xs and Os you'd see on a coach's blackboard. Top mode brings you down a little bit but still looks at the players from above while Classic has the action moving from the bottom of the screen to the top, just like the Arcade version of the game.<br><br>You have 18 offensive and 9 defensive plays to choose from. You can flip the plays before choosing one, and you can only punt or try field goals when they appear in your playbook. After the snap you can perform spin moves, hurdle other players, or press turbo to gain a burst of speed. You turbo is limited unless your team is on fire; to catch fire you must complete three passes in a row to the same receiver on offense or make the other team lose yardage twice in a row on defense.<br><br>Unlike real football, you need 30 yards for a first down. Between plays a scoreboard shows an animation of the previous play and gives you information such as the down, yards to go, and the score. You can play with quarters which last one, two or four minutes; the game clock stops after each play and there is no play clock.<br><br>If you manage to find special codes on the internet or in magazines, you can enter them before each game and pick up unlimited turbo, more accurate passing, or other power-ups. This game is for one player only and is not compatible with any system other than the Nintendo Game Boy Color.Product Identifiers

bleh game
