  • Fantastic Insirational book

I love Corrie Ten Boom. She is a great testimony to the Christian faith. Have read this book at least twenty times as I bought my first book several years ago and was completely worn out. Was so happy to find this new one at such a great value. I plan to read it twenty more times. It makes me much more grateful for what I have in this country.

  • Classic book

I purchased this book for my 8th grader to fulfill required summer reading. I had also read the book as a young person. It is of interest to all who want to understand history, particularly WWII, and the short- and long-term effects of socialism on the group targeted for persecution, as well as those who help the persecuted. It is a serious topic, written honestly, and with a focus on how Christian love can help to overcome extreme difficulties in our lives.

  • Exceptional piece of history

I wanted to reread this old book. I was so glad to find it on eBay. Great value. As I read it, my granddaughters are asking about it. So glad to spark their interest in true history. They want to read it along with my copy of Anne Frank’s Diary.

  • Inspiring

I've read this book at least 20 times and I appreciate something new each time. While there are enough details about the holocaust and the camps for the reader to understand the situation, the main story is one of sacrifice, humility, and triumph. Cornelia ten Boom's story is timeless. Lessons learned from these terrible circumstances are easily translated into relevant lessons for today.

  • Should Be Required Reading

This is a great introduction to World War II for those who hate learning history but like exciting true adventure stories. This should be required reading in schools. It really helps me to appreciate my freedom and how good I have it here in America. For about 7th grade and up.

  • The Hiding Place, true story of faith in God during insurmountable tragedy.

First of all, obviously the content! Corrie and her family were heros of Christian women for their love and compassion for the Jews, and for their bravery and faith in God in the face of evil and tragic treatment. Secondly, the book came exactly as described, when it was supposed to. It's a used book, and you can tell it's used, but there are no pages missing or loose and the cover is intact.

  • The Miracles in the midst of pain

The amazing resilience of those who tried to save the Jews and were thrown into the concentration camps along side of them. The demonstration that all men are alike and all have been created equal in God. Shocking, sad and uplifting because of the promises of Jesus Christ. Easy to read and learning history that we don't always see in the history books.

  • Best title name for a small book.

Wonderful book about a Dutch family & what they had to endure during 1939 thru 1945. It kept my interest up on every page. Terrible tragedy that many people especially the J had to go thru. This book is quite the historical perspective.

  • Another great read

This book really drew me in and held me. What makes it so interesting is that it was written by an eyewitness survivor and not a formally trained scholar. It presents a different view of the holocaust from a non jew, but still a person who endured the camps and lost love ones. A must read.
