The phone is easy to use and so far does what I need. My only complaint is the volume on speaker not that loud, especially when you put it on speaker phone, otherwise I am very happy with it. May 2016 I like Samsung cam phones .. My Avant phone is business friendly in style and size. It has pleasing speed, memory, camera clarity and functions. I am very happy with it. Its easy to navigate through the various features and is able to fit in my pockets easily. I use for if for calling, texting, emailing, IM(instant messaging) and Skype..... all without problems. I don't live on the phone nor do I get a barrage of calls, so the battery lasts me easily all day. Samsung Avant -- Galaxy Lite
This is the second Avant I've bought--one for my wife as her first smartphone and one for my daughter because of how my wife liked it and it was cheap. I use a larger Galaxy, but the Avant does everything my wife wants it to, it's easy to learn to navigate and has quite a good battery life. The higher range Galaxys have more features and more memory and higher speeds, but for a light user who uses it mostly for phone calls, text messages and light web browsing--Facebook, emails and such, the Avant is the perfect small form, inexpensive smartphone.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

The Avant is a great phone. Originally bought for half the cost of the galaxy 5, it has the same processor with a slightly smaller screen, which means faster than the G5. Because it has slightly smaller screen it has longer battery life. All batteries will go bad, and heavy use shortens their life. Perfect size for a phone and fits in pockets comfortably. I got this phone for my daughter. So far, it seems to be a really good value for the money. It lags very little and has 16GB of space. It runs circles around the Samsung Galaxy S3 mini my son has. It's the perfect size...not too small and not too large. I love my new phone. It has a lot of Samsung bloat ware but it's handling all my apps just fine. The camera's not for taking impressive pictures but I have a camera for that. Great smartphone
Very reliable. We've owned four since they first came out. No complaints. This was a replacement for one of the four original smartphones that had to be replaced after working in a harsh environment (nothing to do with the smartphone itself). The other three smartphones are still going strong and keep on giving us what we need from them. We've been so happy with our other Samsung products (tablets), we just recently added a clothes washing machine manufactured by Samsung.
