Do Not Buy Expired Systane.
I bought the expired Systane Night Time ointment. It barely worked if it worked at all. My eyes were agitated for two days. I have used Systane for several years due to eye surgery. I was unaware of the issue with expired ointment not working. Do not buy Systane Night Time expired if you have dry eyes. The ingredients deteriorate and will agitate your eye. This Systane nighttime ointment is the only product I've found that successfully helps me sleep without the painful effects of dry eye. Only draw back is the squeeze tube needs a longer and thinner tube to thinly proportion ointment out the tube into the eye crevice . So, to be perfectly frank, if you wake in the morning with an eyelid or two stuck to your eyeball, squeeze a 1/4 in.line of this lubricant on the inside of your lower eyelid before going to bed. Lubricant sticks to container
I had never used a lubricant before in my eyes but bought this as was suggested by my eye doctor. I don't know if the lubricant itself is any good or not. My problem is that, as soon as the lubricant leaves the container, it moves backward to the side of the container. With that in mind, the only way I can get the lubricant in my eye, is to rub the container along my eyelid to wipe the lubricant off of the container and onto my eyelid.
