Bill Holden’s Greatest Western
I first saw the “Pike Bishop Gang” advertised in some catalogue several years ago & never forgot it. “The Wild Bunch” is my all-time fave western. Over the couch in my living room is an authentic “Stalag 17” poster, dry-mounted some 30 years ago, an autographed print of Bill Holden drawn by a well known artist of the 1950s & ‘60s, a color movie poster of “The Wild Bunch,” an iconic color print on canvas of the 4 members of the gang, upon which these figurines is based, marching 4-abreast to rescue their friend Angel, knowing they will die in the process. Loyalty matters to these men, even unto death. Now I have the 4 figures sitting on a small shelf beneath the canvas photo from the movie.
