  • Great product. I'd recomend it for any musicians looking for a replacement 1/4 inch ouitput jack for their guitar Amp or even speaker cabinet.

Great item. Works well with the 4 point conection system for the 1/4" guitar cable. Gives much better contanuity and much less chance of it shorting out and having adjustable conectors makes it easy to keep the fit of the male end of th cord to have a tight fit.. Cant do that with the new style inclosed 1/4" output Jacks. Great product. .

  • A great aftermarket upgrade for any guitar.

Unlike other jacks this style makes two contacts on both the negative and positive parts of the plug. The construction is all metal with silicon wafers separating the leads. The tabs are arranged in a way that is extremely easy to solder to regardless of if you're using traditional metal braid wire or multiple leads. I've used this in all my own builds and it's my go-to replacement for my commercially made guitars.

  • Ignore the marketing hype, they're not magic, but they're great jacks anyway!

I bought my first set of these elsewhere and recently came to eBay for more. Excellent product. The better mechanical connection is obvious and nice feeling. The redundant contact points should reduce crackle down the road which I'd already started having a slight issue with on the Switchcraft I used previously. The Pure Tone seemed like an obvious improvement over the standard open frame design from 1878. Pure Tone claims a bunch of stuff* about increased signal and better tone. I didn't buy it for or because of that. Mechanically it made sense to me, it was inexpensive, and it felt like a quality part, so why not try it? I'd planned on swapping capacitors anyway, so when I discovered these it wasn't a huge extra project. *more accurately bull**** Compared to the standard that is Switchcraft, the Pure Tone is easily as good if not better. When I pulled the Switchcraft from my guitar it actually felt a little cheap compared to the Pure Tone. The insulation wafers on the Pure Tone look thicker to my eyes and the plating seems nicer. I'm not knocking Switchcraft in the slightest, the new jack just seems nicer. EDIT: The price has gotten ridiculous on some sites. Last year, I bought a half dozen for a couple bones each. As long as they're priced competitively with Switchcraft you're doing OK.

  • Great improvement on old technology

Work well. Eliminates contact ground crackling when guitar cords rotate/move around. Installed it in a brand new bass guitar, and it improved the electrical contact between my plugged-in cord and the guitar’s internal electronics...no crackling while the original jack had ground crackling. Worthwhile and economical upgrade.

  • Time will test it.

With double the contact points for your signal to pass through, these just HAVE to be better, right? I would give you my word that a normal human can't hear a difference, except that there won't be all that static noise you can get from the traditional output jack. I've been installing Switchcraft jacks in all my guitars for over 40 years, simply because they don't fail. This new PureTone design is superior to that, and the quality of the new design is apparent when you have one in hand. Only time will tell if these will hold up....We'll see.......

  • Great solution for tight fits.

Not only is this product more functionally secure and reliable, but it is also somewhat more compact than standard S*craft jacks. Perfect for tight spaces and peace of mind.

  • works great

it is perfect looking, technical connection is spot on and the protrudes nicely to allow a 90 degree plug to fit well into a recessed cup. Excellent for a Telecaster guitar.

  • Works as it Should

This fit perfect in my American Strat, somebody earlier stated that it did not work in a Strat but mine were perfect nice tight fit, perhaps an import Strat cavity may not be able to accommodate it, I'm not sure, mine went in perfect no problems...

  • Baught one for each of my guitars, well made part

Very nice jack, no static tight fit on the cord

  • Pure Tone? More like Pure Pleasure!

If you have ever wondered, "is there a better way to plug a cord into the guitar to achieve more consistent jack performance? " the answer I'd yes. Buy this PureTone Jack. Easy to solder. Same typical threads as a normal jack. Don't settle for to Springs when you can have 4. Make tone great again.
