I had a filter cap on my Prius 2014 that apparently had its thread cut (thanks for toyota service center tech who must have used power device to tighten it) and I could not open it with hand or other filter wrenches. This one came handy as it has outer teeth besides inner 14-grove that fits cap perfectly. It took me A LOT of effort even with this wrench but it would've been impossible to replace my filter without this tool. I have ordered a replacement filter cap which is going in my car during the next oil change. This wrench is totally worth it! Hopefully this will make it easy to change filters on my Camry 2009 too (I just typically turn it by hand, and for camry I don't even have to climb the car on the ramps/jack stands as the filter and the nut are very accessible with car on ground itself!)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

After 1st use of the product on my 2012 Toyota RAV4 the tool start to slippery actually don’t fit well on the oil filter housing . My suggestion is if the tool is more deeper can work good otherwise I don’t recommend for this type of vehicles .Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Removed and installed 2019 4Runner filter
First oil change on the 2019 4Runner, fit perfect. Removed and installed the oil filter housing with no problem. Great for Toyota OEM housing!
I have a 2009 Toyota Matrix. The filter housing was worn and needed replacement. I didnt trust that the mechanic that had done my oil changes in the pasted because of this. So I researched and found that this paticular housing required a special bit to remove. Not the same as the oil filter pliers my previous guy used. So I popped it on a 3/8in breaker bar. Folded a piece of paper in have and shove the wrench over the paper and over the stripped filter cartridge. I added this just in case you have the same problem with your filter housing. This item worked well at removing the oil filter housing from my 2015 Toyota Sienna makes the job much easier than regular oil filter wrenches... oncly complaint is that once the ratchet is pit in place on this filter tool it is then hard to remove from this tool could have been designed better there I am sure there are better products out there but for the price this is good enough.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Filter wrench
I have used numerous versions if the Toyota oil filter wrench, only used this one once so far but it worked for its intended purpose. I have used ones that were more sturdy but when something's made by Mac Tools, Snap-On or Matco it's better be. Considering you can accomplish the oil change with a large enough pliers if needed this tool works just fine if in need.
