Flexible, Easy-to-Use Crossover with Great Sound!
This is my 2nd miniDSP - I needed another one when I went to a 3-way active speaker system. Each miniDSP is capable of 2 inputs and 4 outputs - enough for a pair of active 2-way speakers but not 3-way, thus the 2nd unit. These are so easy to use it's amazing. A few minutes on the computer and you can set any low or high pass (or both) filter frequency, volume level, and roll off curve for each output individually. That allows you to adjust the relative volumes of each speaker in the system for the response you want. Once you disconnect the computer, it stays the way you left it from then on. Very slick piece of gear - much less expensive and more flexible than any pure analog crossover could be. Plus, it also sounds just fine!
