Needed Uncoupling A/F Track Section
If you are using the Lionel Fast Track System for American Flyer This Is A Great Addition . I have been looking for this a long time , and Wish Lionel AF would continue to develope more track pieces and do what they advertised in their catalogs. It is to sad to say production has been cut and AF train 🚂 items will never have the availablity. This is a disappoint to the American Flyer Collectors and Operators . I Do Hope This Will Change Because AF is the way to go and so so much more realistic. I have had three rail but now I am changing and will rebuild soon . I Love American Flyer Old and New . Required repairs right out of the box
I have to say that among the model railroading community Lionel S scale has a poor reputation for quality control, but I didn't think that would have been an issue with a simple piece of track. However it was. Upon hooking the uncoupler section into my layout the device refused to activate. Placing a lighted caboose on the track section confirmed it was getting power, but it did not activate when the control button was pushed. Removing the bottom of the device I soon determined that track power was not being routed to the control circuit because one of the feeder contacts was not in contact with the rail. A simple fix, but something that should have been tested before the part left the Chinese factory.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
