Heavy, durable and rather looooong dinosaur. The only thing I don't like is that it's very hard (unlike Palo and schleich which have some rubbery give). My son screamed after accidentally dropping on his foot. He loves it though, gets played with on a daily basis.

Flaw in design?
A few of the spines on the back of this item came broken off and others broken and about to fall off. The broken spines were in the bag so they got damaged in transit. I don't know what else could have been done in terms of packaging as it was perfectly done. Been advised that this model is flawed and hope they correct the issue as it is a stunning piece. Still a great addition to my sons' collection.

The painting is not realistic
The shape and posture of the article is good, however it is painted in a very simple way, it does not have a realistic appearance. I am a collector who prefers very realistic figures so I would not recommend other collectors like me to buy this article.

"A Diplodocus To Remember"
Safari Ltd. have outdone themselves with a figure which is, in my opinion, the best version of a Diplodocus available today. The anatomy is perfect, most successfully conveying the immensity of this sauropod dinosaur to both children and adults alike. The tail is my favorite feature - both elegant and enormous in its whip-like length. My only criticism of this figure would be the color. Perhaps a sandy overall tone with the upper markings in the blue-grey used might have worked better and given more contrast to the model. Overall, however, this figure is an absolute winner and I am highly pleased to see Safari Ltd. producing such superior work. I recommend this one wholeheartedly.

I love the detail and quality that Safari puts into their products. There’s no comparison to the cheaper dinosaurs that are hollow and have substandard coloring. I’m always anxious to buy more to add to our collection. Bobchris72 is my favourite seller on eBay to buy safari & specifically dinosaurs from, they always have a huge variety. :)
