  • Solid Scope for the Price. Mid-range Clarity with lots of features.

It is a feature leader in it's price range. Its optics are on-par with similarly priced scopes (such as Vortex). The Gen two scope has added a zero-stop for the vertical turret, which did not exist on the Gen one scopes. Most people in the shooting forums concur there are two problems once magnification gets about 15 times. 1. The eye box gets progressively smaller, to the point you end up hunting for the "sweet spot" to place your eye without loss of image. 2. As you go above 20 times, the image gets much darker. I was aware of all of these things, as I already had a Gen One scope. I just understood in advance the scope would have those limitations. But, for 15 times power and less, it is a very solid scope. These scopes have a history of having very repeatable turrets, which are a plus for longer range shooting. The First Focal Plane optics is what originally attracted me to the scope (along with side parallax). The Gen two scope is mounted on a classical gunpowder rifle, the Gen One is mounted on an air rifle. The Air rifle is pictured below, but both scopes look the same. The scope has a ScopeWerks brand snail added later. As a final note, this scope is heavy compared to more expensive offerings.
