A must have for any Mark IV
The directions could certainly stand to have some improvement but if you hang in there long enough you can do it. The trigger is above fabulous. I was fairly pleased with the factory trigger and decided not to go this route. While I knew the factory trigger wasn't the best I didn't figure this would be an improvement worth the money. I finally decided to get it and I must say it is one of the best decisions I ever made. This trigger kit will give you a trigger that takes no back seat to any Smith and Wesson 41 or High Standard out there. I know because I own both. Instead of the kits, also need disconnecting rod.
I installed the kit on my new mark iv . With barrel off the receiver, the assembly works fine . But as soon as u install the barrel , the trigger is almost impossible to take action . Talk to the volquartsen technician, he recommend me to install the disconnecting rod, after replaced the rod . I can feel the 2.5lb trigger pull . Orgasmic (using Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite)
You will shoot the best you have ever shot. This trigger system is so comfortable, so sensitive (depending on your adjustment screws), and so crisp that it is something of another level. I haven't measured the pull, but I would guess mine feels like 1.5 to 2 pounds max! Believe me, I definitely had my doubts and didn't like the idea of tearing apart my gun, nor did I like the idea of paying $130. But let me put it simple: If someone let me test two identical guns, one with the factory trigger system and one with this system, and I didn't know how much it costed, I would easily be willing to pay $250+ to have this system. But then again, I am sort of obsessed with buying top quality guns/parts because you usually get what you pay for in quality and customer service. Highly, highly recommend this trigger system. I was nervous about taking my gun apart, but when I found this video (type into youtube: "Volquartsen Accurizing Kit Installation in Ruger Mark IV"), and watched it carefully, it solved all my problems and nervousness. It might not be exactly your model of gun (including mine), but there is more than enough information in the video to install the system. It probably took me about 30 min and I was ready to shoot. Amazing trigger kit
With a stock trigger pull at 5-6 lbs in my target pistol wasn't going to cut it for me. U almost need 3 hands to install the kit .(tip) if I have a small mini vice with a ball head swivel installing this kit is a breeze. I have it in both of my Ruger pistols and I will never look back. With features like take up and over travel adjustments makes this one fine trigger.highly recommend it

Like a different gun.
Wow is an understatement. Took me about an 1 1/2 hours to install. There is a well done video on UTUBE on installing that was a great help. The adjustment screws make a nice difference in the feel of the trigger by shortening the distance the trigger will move. Warning, if you are all thumbs, get help with the install. One suggestion to instructions
Add something to let users know that if they push the hammer all the way back during installation (after putting new hammer in) that they can push it forward to allow the trigger to function correctly. This caused me to spend time figuring out what was going on and have caused others to uninstall and reinstall before figuring this is normal. With that out of the way, everything is high quality and dropped my pull down to about 2.5 lbs from 4'ish. Short reset, clean light break, perfect. Installed kit, did some minor trigger adjustments and this ruger mk iv was a different gun. Was spraying targets for bullseye league but not anymore. Ever shot is now points. Highly recommend it. Follow Youtube video for installation. Installation took about 45 minutes, taking my time. Made a huge difference shooting a Mk IV. Great Upgrade !
This kit should be standard from Ruger. It makes the gun function flawlessly is it should have but didn’t from the factory. When adjusted properly there is little to no pre or over travel in the trigger that breaks like glass. My gun was sent back to Ruger and parts were replaced but still had many problems with it when I got it back. This kit cured all of the problems ! Shame on Ruger ! Hang in there
The disassembly instuctions are a little vague. You start getting a feeling that it will never go back together. But, the installation is a breeze. Also, when your done, if you push the hammer all the way back, the trigger may not work. No worries, cock the hammer to the first click (about 30 degrees) and put the barrel on, all should be fine. If you put the barrel on with the hammer too far back, the trigger may not work and you may not be able to take the barrel back off. Take the grips off and push the hammer up with a small screw driver while working the trigger. Other than that, wonderful trigger. Btw, all of this review was just my personal experience.
