    Tidal ...

I have had almost every filter of this type from cheap ones to expensive ones like the bio wheel to the aquaclear110 and smaller , and this has great flow , quiet , solid , the most features. I love it especially the self prime. Get one , then u will see

    Noisy!

Bought 2 of these for a new 75 gallon tank. Product is very very noisy, bypasses with anything but the sponge in it on full flow. Did I mention they are noisy & rattle like they are full of rocks? How noisy? I have to turn up TV to cover the rattling noise at full flow. Even pulled impeller out, shaft axle is a very sloppy fit & probably has a lot to do with the rattling. Why no bushing or bearing where shaft passes through the plastic? Very cheap build! I lubed the very dry shaft & it was better for about 10 minutes, then back to noisy. Right now, I have the output on both 75's cranked down to 1/2 flow. Why would I buy 2 75's that I'm turning down to a 55 or 35 just to use the bagged media it came with? Set at 1/2 flow, running the sponge & media it came with & the float is up- telling me time to clean! It's brand new running on an empty tank that's fishless cycling. So disappointed. I also bought polishing pads for it too & more Seachem charcoal to run later- no way will that work! Wish I never bought it. I even did all the online hacks & those didn't work. I guess I'm stuck with it now. I have the Tidal 35 on a smaller tank & I can't even hear it running sitting right next to it. Not the case with the 75's. I can't trust these 2 75 HOB's cranked to half flow to keep up with a proposed African Cichlid tank now. What a wast of 2 weeks messing with them.

  • Tidal 75

This filter is very well-made very heavy feeling water pump. flow adjustability is fantastic. the only thing I don't like about it is the surface skimmer. I have floating plants and when it starts to cover that part it makes loud suction noise so I constantly have to clean it so I think I'm going to completely silicone that area shot which in theory would give me better draw from the intake tube. Pretty large basket to put your own media in too.

  • BEST filter ever...

I have went thru many types of hangonback filters.. This new Seachem Tidal is a BEAST.. and puts everything else to shame.. Excellent construction. Very user friendly. Super large media basket.. I can't say enough good about this filter.. Just ordered another one for my other tank..

  • Great filter!!!

I had a Fluval C rated for 70 gallons that was not getting the job done. This filter has plenty of room for mechanical, biological and chemical filtration. For me this filter is everything I nheed and want very customizable.

  • Overall a great filter

I've seen nothing but good things about this filter prior to buying it. Set up was pretty easy although I could not find directions as to what way to turn the intake valve. I have an aqua clear hang on that I've had for over ten years with no problems. I didn't like that it did not come with a carbon bag. The heater holder looks sort of small but it should be fine with some heaters. You might want to look at all the negative comments I've made about this filter but the fact still remains that it's probably the best hang on back filter you can buy.

  • Seachem Tidal 75 Filter

I really like this filter so far. It has a large box area for your choice of filter media. Compared to other brands on the market this one beats them hands down. I have owned just about all of them , and the Seachem Tidal is the best . No priming needed , it's quiet , large media area , but best of all is it's simplicity. Try one , you won't be disappointed.

  • Seachem Tidal 75

Good filter! I use it as supplemental filtration with a sunsun cannister, on a planted 75 gal tank. Surface skimmer works well. Nice flow. All around good filter for what I use it for!!

  • Seachem 75

This filter is very quiet. It also has huge media basket to hold any kind of media. Its self prime feature is great. The filter also has a protein skimmer, you can use it on saltwater aquarium. Very well built filter, very pleased.

  • Very quite and has some good features

Seems to be working ok. Ordered the carbon to go with it. I used a MarineLand Penguin BIO-Wheel Power Filter for 15 years, so it has it's work cut out to be it.
