So so glad I got this. Price was very reasonable and I was able to throw away the useless mesh thing I was attempting to use to catch hair. I still had to snake the drain once a month with it and am sure so much more got through. With the TubShroom it seriously catches every hair and is super easy to clean it. It sits up a bit from the drain but with the clear color you cannot notice it and so far I haven't bumped it or anything. Easiest trap ever!
The tubshroom does not sit flush in the drain like the metal strainer that comes with the tub but not to worry, the tubshroom construction is if a gel-like plastic so it will not hurt your feet even if you're standing in it. The vent holes promotes a water flow that accommodates my three gallons per minute. But best of all is the ease with which you can pull the trapped hair from the tubshroom; it all curls around the cylinder do uniformly and comes right off when pulled from any side. You are then able to ship the tubshroom right back in it's place without having to run the water for it to fit right like those chain models. I'm buying tubshrooms as gifts for my friends.
