    Good heated grips!

I just installed them and looks that they works well. They are also beautiful to look at, much better than those types that have separate switch and heat regulation. If you have some practice with motorcycle work, then it is not too difficult to install them. However there are videos explaining how to do it on youtube. So far I'm happy with those!

  • Top critical review

    Disappointing grip

Nice clean design, but they are too damned short. Stiff as hell when trying to install and difficult to maneuver on handlebar, even w/lubricant. Had to modify the throttle side due to hard plastic end ring that hung up on throttle sleeve. Grips need to be softer and more workable during installation and need to be 130mm as advertised. I would install another brand, even with a separate controller to have a better product to work with and better fit.

  • Top quality grips.!!

Could only get these from US as no sellers in UK..arrived ahead of schedule, tracked all the way. These are really nice grips, personally I prefer these over say Oxfords as they look more OEM with the control buttons on the grip. Only had them fitted for few days and they are working well, take slightly longer to heat up than Oxfords but not much in it. Nice feature with these is they remember your last setting. I wired these via an already relayed connector so they are only on when ignition on, but they come supplied with wiring to battery. Would recommend these, worth the extra £ just for the looks, how long they last we will see 👍

  • Good warmth and easy operation

Can be operated without removing the hand from the handlebar and the indicator is clearly visible even in direct sunlight. They get quite warm although not as hot as the Oxford heated grips but still better than some cheaper variants I have experience with. The fit on the handlebar was tight on my bike and there was no need for the glue that came with the set. I only wish there was an extra button for switching down, with only one button you just have to press one time to increase one step but five times to decrease one step. Conclusion: Nice warmth and they don't clutter the handlebar with extra controller. Will probably by again if I need on another bike. Made in Taiwan

  • Good heated grips

I didn’t want to buy Oxford heated grips because I don’t like the control panel sticking out so I decided to pay the extra cost to import these Koso grips from the US. At first I was disappointed as they would take ten minutes to barely heat up in city conditions with the right grip being warmer than the left one. I don’t know why and how, but about three weeks after installation they suddenly start working perfectly, just in time for the colder temperatures. Was it a couple of short journeys (before grips would sufficiently heat up only on motorway speeds) that helped fix the issue? Not sure, but now they work properly. It takes a couple of minutes for the grips to get comfortably warm and a few more minutes to get very hot. I use the higher setting to increase the temperature as quickly as possible and then switch to the middle setting as they get too hot. The switch is very sensitive, a light press is enough, has a memory function and works flawlessly every time. I love how it looks and how practical it is. All in all I am happy I spent the extra money and happy it somehow fixed itself.

  • Really High Quality, And Well Designed

These are well designed, well thought out for both use and implementation, and reasonably priced. I installed on a Ducati 2010 Multistarada Handlebar, and a Torque Tamer throttle tube. Both required the use of a soft face hammer and driver tube (the base of a properly sized socket) using rubbing alcohol as a lubricant. I have no concern that either will ever slip or rotate. As the Koso unit has its own fuse, I wired into the ignition switched battery circuit that supplies power to several fuses. The heat setting memory system is particularly nice as the Koso grips use an electronic rotary switch method of heat control. As a plus the grips are fairly large diameter and therefore provide a comfortably non cramping throttle hand gripping surface.

  • Peters Product Review: Apollo KosoAM111030 heated Grips

I have fitted the grips to my Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L. In order to fit the grips I had to trim around 5mm from the far end if each grip. I used a small razor saw to achieve a neat and clean cut. The grips are a very snug fit and I had to use a rubber mallet to get them on to the handlebars. I then used a large socket to tap them in to the final position. On the throttle side I had to trim off the ridge on the bikes throttle grip. The wiring as very straightforward running the wires back under the tank to my power distribution unit. I made sure there was sufficient slack on the hotted side and then cable tied the wire in to place. I position the control buttons just below where I move my thumb to touch the bikes indicator switch. The grips worked fine out if the box. I would have liked a bit more heat on the highest setting but that might be as the temperature has been quiet warm and it my be I would feel the effect more in a colder day.

  • Excellent grips - left thumb controller

Great quality grips - looks exactly as pictured. The "bar ends" are just cheap plastic caps, but we didn't use them anyway. I wanted grips that didn't have a separate controller that you have to mount. These have the thumb controller. I have only tested them for about 5 minutes because it's 90 degrees out these days, but they appear to work just fine. 5 levels of heat. The only thing that bothers me is the wire hangs down (so there is enough play to twist the throttle). Maybe the angle of the way the wire is connected to the grip could change? Not sure.... I'll get used to it....

  • Good heat, great build quality, nice looks.

I installed these late this spring, riding in mostly 8-12 degr. C. The heat comes within a minute before I hit the fast roads . This leather gloves work perfectly. I would suggest you add a regualar car relay ($4) to your installation, so that you can activate the power to the grips when you turn the key to position I or II (i.e. over the front parking light on a Vespa GTS. Not the head light bulb since it could have separate 12V for high and low beam = turns off when flashing the high beam/when low beam is off...) The battery protection is great, but a relay installation is much safer; leave your bike with key off and you know the heaters are not draining your battery.. You may shorten the grips a bit with a sharp knife, so that they fit well with your bar end weights, no problems. A must-have for winter bikers! Recommended. First time install approx 1.5-2 hours.

  • Easy install

Super easy to install on KLR. Grips seem to be of good quality, plenty of wire harness to make all installation's easy. To cold to ride at the time but grips got very hot. I really like the built in to the grip control.
