  • BBK 1632 - a nice shorty option for your Coyote Mustang

These are nice headers, well priced. Tubes are nicely bent, welds are pretty good. A couple of things I wasn't completely pleased with however to note - In the photo, it clearly shows two extra flanges that bolt to the header collector flanges. The headers DO NOT include these, which for me created a real issue. Yes the Mustang factory exhaust has these flanges built onto the pipe and cat-con, however I am not using these on a Mustang - it's a Coyote swap to a '54 F100. So those flanges were really important to me. This would also be the case for a buyer who plans of replacing the stock exhaust from the flange back. So I had to find a set of flanges (BBK does not offer them), so guess - what.... having a heck of a time finding a set. Turns out I'll need to chop off the flanges and replace with a flange that's a common size. Costly! BBK should update the photo at least. Second, there was some surface rust on the headers. Not a huge deal as it came off easily with some polish however what that does indicate is an open spot of steel somewhere that was not properly chromed. Hope it isn't a problem somewhere down the road. Overall... nice headers. Just wish I had a set of those flanges that were pictured and the chrome was a little better in the tight spots.
