I have owned Rat pedals since 1987 and the FATRAT is right up there with my older pedals. The fat and mosfet settings sound great and I find myself using this Rat pedal over my other truly vintage Rats. This is in my opinion, one of the best distortions pedals with an iconic sound from the 80-90, the extra controls on the FAT RAT allow to find that sweet spot for any guitar-pickup-amp configuration so it's more versatile than the classic RAT.
