I owned the first generation Mangroomer and at the time is was of highest quality but this new Mangroomer is of a higher quality. It doesn't pull the hair and it gets a close shave. It can not only be used for back shaving but for the body as well. It's that smooth. its ok, could be better......
I am not new to using a small clipper. I so I think I know what I am talking about. I was shocked how cheep it felt in my hand. Seems like it has no real strength to it. I truly wonder how long it will last. Be sure to never drop it, or it will be gone. It did trim the hair off my back, but then my back hair is very fine. And I did manage to scrap myself up a bit too. Another thing I was shocked about, when it's is on charge, it wont run. So when the batteries die you cant just plug it in and keep using it. And you cant take it apart to put in new ones. But that do tell you how to take out the circuit board with the batteries on it to toss it out. For what I paid for it I thought it would be much better. So I will use it till it goes and then get the cheaper one. All it really is, is the edge trimmer on an electric shaver on a stick. If you have one, you know how they last. Be sure to keep it oiled and clean it every time you use it.... Get one with two heads, the Original Mangroomer
I was replacing an old model, it had two heads, a straight one for long hair and a foil head to clean up afterwards, it was a good unit and appears to be still available.
