It’s different than using regular sandpaper as it’s more like sanding with a very fine screening material. It seems to be a little more aggressive than standard, but you can clean off built up old paint and old finish more quickly and you can vacuum the sanding material to extend the life of the paper. I even rinsed the paper in the stationary tub two times to dislodge the “gooey”;build up you always get when sanding for stripping old finish. I used this material to get rid of the gunk, but when the back to standard 100 and 120 grit to smooth out the piece.
