Great deal
So... the good news is that it picks up the dirt and has a fantastic filter system that holds the dust in the bag. The bad news: My wife says it’s hard to use on carpet. Great suction but hard to push on carpet.
I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong or not but I am having trouble pushing through carpet sometimes. It does have really good suction and works great on bare floors. Strong suction, easy to use
This vacuum has very strong suction, and therefore will pull things out of carpet that you didn't know were there! If you desire to reduce how strong it is, there is a sliding suction control switch on the handle. Love that it is HEPA, to control dander and dust redistribution. I am a live-long customer of Kenmore canister vacuums, so am a little biased perhaps, but I absolutely HATE uprights. They are okay for carpet, (although too big to fit under furniture successfully), but don't work well on hard floors. This Kenmore Elite can handle both seamlessly! The only drawback to removing the hard floor attachment from the carpet attachment is that you have to walk back and get the carpet attachment that you took off when you run into more carpet. Love it!
I have had Kenmore canister vacs for 35 yrs, and all have been really great. But this new version has some super-great upgrades! The crevasse tool is mounted right under the handle so you don't have to stop and open the canister to get it. The power head maneuvers like a Dyson PowerBar so its a lot easier to get at all the flooring quickly. AND THE SUCTION! Honestly, if you get the hose too close to your face it will suck your brains right through your nose! Good thing there is a sliding suction control button so you can adjust it for more or less. It has a special ceiling fan blade cleaning tool, a very long cord, extendable wand, and it's light enough when you need to carry it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

Kenmore crossover
My original crossover died after 10+ years of use. I was devastated, as there are no longer any Sears stores to ship for appliances. I searched the he internet and found them on eBay!! I bought 2!! I personally hate carpet, but purchased this house 4 years ago, and although some floors are tile, and wood, there is still a considerable amount of carpet. Eventually it will be replaced, and the crossover will still work perfectly on solid floors! Couldn’t be happier with my purchase I have always preferred a canister to an upright and the crossover does fabulous in both solid floors and carpet. I LOVE IT
I had a Kenmore Elite for 15 years and loved it. When it was time for a replacement I was talked into an upright Hoover...it literally sucked! I hated emptying it and all the attachments fell off every time I vacuumed so I removed them all. Then I bought this new Kenmore and gave away the Hoover. I'm in love again! with a vacuum :/ I love the lighted beater bar, the swivel, the attachments stay hidden, it's powerful especially for dog hair. the best of the new kenmore elite vacuums
this is the best of the newer Kenmore vacuums plenty of suction with all accessories riding on board and Kenmore's quick release mechanisms the wheels on the power brush are much better than older models as they ride on metal rollers and not plastic this vacuum has a smaller duster brush which is easier to use the body is a bit heavier note do not buy the elite crossover as it is the same model but has the floor brush incorporated in the motorized head and is a not good designVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned

New version of my old one
I will still use my old kenmore canister vacuum but needed a new one for my wife. The new model is a hepa but will still use the bags I already have.
