It is a nice size, easy to use and the features are endless with the app store. It is more of a personal assistant than just a phone (old flip phone user here) so it has more than I really need. The only thing that bothers me is the touch screen. I'd like to be able to use my fingernail to activate choices, but it only seems to go with actual finger touch and the selections are very small, especially for texting. Is there an app for that? lol

    Moto E

Good value. You get a lot of phone for $20. Well made but I replaced it after a couple of weeks with a 4G LG Treasure. 3G phones do not transmit to 4G towers while 4G can use either one. There is a close by 4G tower and I bought this mostly for emergency and to have in my car so I didn't want to be limited by the availability of 3G. Otherwise a good solid phone for the money. The seller was excellent and I had a new phone in three days after the Post Office screwed up and returned the first one. A great phone for $20 but if you can spend around $80 you'll get more memory, 4G, faster processor and a larger screen.

  • For 20 bucks for sure a good value

I like the screen very much. It does not smudge badly and is very responsive. The resolution is very good for my everyday phone use. The back of the phone has a little rubbery stickiness and fits the hand well. On the con side the phone does not have much onboard memory, I'd read 4GB, but mine says 2.2 GB. After apps and a few odds and ends I'm down to about 700 MB. I've got a SD card in which collects my pictures and what very few apps that can be transferred to the SD. The speaker did not work on my phone when I received it. After doing all the usual stuff it still would not work. Read on the internet to take off the back cover and squeeze firmly below the battery. Weird as it seems the speaker started working and is still doing fine. Also my phone was received with a 0 charge battery. It took some time before it started charging. It is work well now, no regrets.

  • Best phone I've ever owned...

For the past several years...have been using flip phones (due to having my phone service at one time subsidized and hating the phone dialing while in my pocket). Having moved about a month ago...wanted a cheap smart phone to replace the last flip phone I had. Got this at a great price and it has been the best phone I've ever owned. There's no Tracfone branding on the case and you can set this up fully with Google Voice on the Verizon network. This means you can bypass Tracfone completely for voice mail and calling...as long as you are near WiFi by using Google Voice or Skype. Very important to be able not to use any of your minutes...unless you need to do so. Next time I need a phone...will probably go with the Moto G for even better battery life (charge this up 2-3 times a week unless I've really been using it like crazy). All the software I load onto it runs and runs well from the Google Play Store. Overall...you are on Tracfone and want a smartphone which will please you...go with this one. Want to spend a bit more money...go with the next model up. Either way...you will be pleased. You can't go wrong with this phone.

  • Small but stong from LG wireless

This is a good intro phone for Android. It runs most apps and works well so far in my neighborhood which is notorious for poor reception. The ability to use wifi for data, streaming or calling is great as it let's you save your time for when it's really needed. The screen is big and bright enough for most anything imaginable. My only gripe is my fingers keep hitting extra keys when texting but have solved this by using a stylus for it. All in all a good solid Android starter phone.

  • Well made - way better than our dumb phone

Amazing quality for the low price. Good battery life. Transfer of old Tracfone number and airtime from old phone was seamless. No way to transfer contacts from old "dumb" phone. Internal memory is minimal - plan on getting a micro SD card to boost memory. Compact size. A great "starter" smart phone!

  • Economical

This is an economical choice for anyone wanting an android phone. It is relatively easy to use and can do slot for a tracfone. The only disappointing thing is that this is the second Moto E phone for me. The first one died when the battery ran out. I only had it for a year. The battery can not be accessed so I could not replace it. The good news, though, is that this phone is much cheaper than it used to be.

  • Moto E 1st generation

The Moto E is a great low-budget smartphone. It has a decent radio in it, so it often works when fancier phones fail to get any signal. It's fairly responsive if you don't try to do too much. It only has 4GB of internal memory, but there is a slot so you can add an SD card. I re-formatted a 64GB card and made a usable 60GB SD card from it, so I have lots of movies, maps, and music on mine. I have stopped updating all the Google apps, because they eat up too much space, and cannot be moved to the card. I also have un-installed larger apps after I am done with them, for example Amazon Kindle. If you combine this with TracFone service you can get a lot done for very little money.

  • Hello Moto

This is my first smartphone, though I am not foreign to the concept. I must say that this is a really great phone and for the price an excellent buy for anyone in need of something with more function and little in the way of hassle. I'd recommend tweaking the settings, so as to use wi-fi anywhere and everywhere that it can pick up a signal, but I have no doubt that the rest of you are aware of how much battery any of these phones can and will use, should you not take the time to provide it a little direction of your own. I'm very happy with this phone and would recommend it to anyone who might have interest. Motorola still makes an excellent product and you can depend on this phone.

  • Best all around Android phone for the price

I was skeptical at first, thinking the Moto E could somehow eclipse the sensational Moto G and its long list of standard features (front and rear camera, dual core processor, FPGA display). I owned one until I got smart *laughs* and dropped my Moto G into a can of paint. Sufficive to say I was very upset, and when I went to find a replacement at my local Walmart, there were none left. So I looked at the Moto E. Since I already had good results with the Moto G, despite being a lower price than what I paid for a Moto G ($79.00 vs $50.00 for the Moto E) I gave it a try. Although the Moto E does not have the forward facing camera, it more than makes up for it with the addition of a 32gb Micro SD card for storage, a quad core processor with graphics processing unit, and a similar 4.7 screen with a slightly better display. Also, phone quality was excellent and setup is very easy with just transferring your SIM card to this machine. Motorola like the Moto G included a Bluetooth transfer app that transfers all of your apps from your old phone to your new one. Overall, this phone is rich in features for a small Android phone, has good battery life (8 hours talking, 4 hours watching movies or playing games) and as for games, it plays the vast majority of Google Play Store games very well and has ample room to store them on the SD card. The only downside I can honestly see is the lack of cases and skins and perhaps the volume and power buttons are a bit small, but these are minor if you really are looking for a workhorse phone with a company who is known for excellence, then this phone is a solid entry into the mid/higher end smartphone without breaking the bank!!!
