    Good solution to mounting exterior lights

    This is the second mounting block (same brand) that I have used. The other was for lap siding and it has held up well to weather extremes. The plastic of this unit is robust and was easy to secure to a flat surface. I used two blocks to surface mount a pair of coach lights to either side of a garage and they provide a clean, finished look. It would be nice if the box were a little deeper to better accommodate wire nuts, but I am satisfied with the results.
