Recently bought a Salsa Fargo bike so I wanted a larger type cage for it as it's a big frame bike and this is perfect.
If you've read any reviews about this cage you will know that it holds the bottles tight and it does indeed.
Not too tight that it's difficult though to get out. Here's the one thing that I found out that I wasn't expecting.
When you place the bottle back it it's very welcoming to slide it back in. By that I mean the larger diameter
tubing is smooth and near the top it must be slightly wider that it makes it easier to slip the bottle back.
It just sort of guides back in. My old cages were on road bikes and they were minimalist type cages and very thin and light.
Sometimes I had to maneuver the bottle a bit but this cage pulls it in like a magnet ...not quite that good but noticeable.
I like them but if you have a pure road bike and light weight frame it might not be the best match but it can be done.
This is a good cage for mountain bikes, 29nrs etc.
Only issue is that the paint chipped a little the first time I put a metal bottle in. Not a big deal for me. It holds the bottles perfectly. No rattle at all! Can be adjusted to accommodate slightly larger bottles. I would buy again.
