  • Just what I needed

I wasn't really sure what to expect after I purchased this product. I had a metal helmet piece that had endured some light surface rust spots over the years and I'm relatively new to the care and treatment of metal. I had already tried using this one particular metal polish which was opaque and that didn't quite seem to do the job. I had also tried a rust eraser and that was a lot of work and it didn't quite remove all the tarnish flecks off of the helmet like I wanted. After seeing how many other people gave it positive views I was willing to give CLP a try. And the third time was the charm! I used this product with "Scotch brite ultra fine" pads to give the piece I was working an a shiny appearance and retain its smoothness. Took off all the tarnish and it serves as a preservative and lubricant as well so that's a plus. I would definitely recommend this product.

  • Rick

There is a reason the military uses this stuff. It works. It works better than Rem Oil and other stuff. Understand... it is a cleaner but it works slow so I would use a solvent to clean up a very dirty gun. This oil protects better and lubricates better than anything on the market... some other CLP lubricant make ridiculous clams like works in salt water and other stuff. I was with the Marines. As I rember it worked well and any dummy that's putting a weapon in salt water with out maintenance is a dumbass. Good stuff more and cheaper than in the store.

  • Maybe the best all around gun product

If its good enough for the military it's good enough for me. Works fairly well as a cleaner and a lubricant, not perfect for either but adequate, and the smell doesn't make me want to leave the room. Easy to carry to the range for pre-lubing. When done shooting i run a soaked patch through the bore...this really helps when cleaning later. For lubrication, Mobil 1 is really best, for cleaning, Hoppe's and brake cleaner is best... And for storage, Eezox or RIG is the best. But rather then use all these products, or when just doing periodic gun cleaning of guns in storage, it's easier to use just one, the Break Free.

  • Just a few drops makes a world of difference

Thought my guns were clean until I used a few drops of the Breakfree CLP on a pad and a few q tips then I saw what clean guns really look like. In just a few minutes cleaned 2 pistols and couldn't believe how much smoother the guns functioned. Very happy with the results of using Breakfree CLP.

  • Good Stuff!

Does a nice job for removing barrel bore debris when cleaning.I also used it to lube the internal parts, now the action feels better but honestly time will tell.I did ALOT of research on products like this and this one always rated the best for all of its said applications.I dont shoot all that often,so I think the 4 oz.bottle should last me a very long time.It seems a little goes a long way.

  • Break free CLP oil

I have been using break-free CLP for years perfect for AR-15 bolts and carriers chambers etc ( never ever have I had carbon build up in any of my various AR weapons on the back of the bolt ) , keeps it clean excellent high and low heat environments where other lubes will not work at all , Break free is the best firearm lube on the market , I am a gunsmith and custom build many AR all of them with break free all over in them , Buy a bottle You will not be disappointed

  • Perfect

Had a friend of my wife bring me a 1979 Remington model 1100. Had been fired and jammed bolt, when O- ring blew out. Apparently, it was dis-assembled for "repair", and re-assembled in correctly. Sat in closet 10-15 years. Used CLP for every contact of moving parts. All trigger assembly components, to action tube / spring / magazine tube / spring / barrel / action ring assembly. Re-assembled. You would think it just left the factory. This stuff cleaned and restored the firearm, perfectly.

  • A firearm-maintenance kit staple

Well, I use this all the time and thought I was out- (until I went to stow this purchase...my bottle was hidden behind some GunScrubber in a larger aerosol can.) CLP-4 is a jack of all trades that actually works. I put it in the "must have" category with Hoppes products; 'Nuf said if you're a gunner.

  • Break Free CLP

This is all I use on ALL my firearms. It cleans and lubricates at the same time. No need for additional oil. I've tried sprays and they do work but then you need oil. Foam works great but they don't make it anymore. If you like wasting your time then use all that other stuff.
