Great Crimper (+Other Things!)
I got this crimper tool to aid in setting up a home network in order to convert from WiFi to Ethernet. We only have 4 devices that needed to be connected, but we wanted to be able to connect to Ethernet in multiple rooms. We needed 9 wall jacks to do this, and the wire that supplies each wall jack needs an RJ45 jack. I also needed to be able to make patch cables to plug into the wall jack and the device. I crimped at least 22 connections with this crimper without a glitch! The connectors that I had originally purchased would not fully crimp on solid wire, but the ones supplied with the crimper did! It also came with a cable tester (with its own case!), which has not failed yet. If I could give 6 stars, I would. This is impressive for a $17 or so crimper. Good job, UbiGear!

Crimper is ok, cable tester is not.
I bought this primarily for the crimper. So FCC ar I've crimped about 10 RJ45 connectors without issue. The cable tester however worked fine for the first 3 ends and then I started running into problems with my newly crimped ends and noticed that #4 and 5 were always failing. Tried it on a store bought cable that had tested ok before and found #4 and 5 faulty. The tester had already failed and was now adding more work to my project. Now need to buy a higher quality took, thought this would last a little longer than an hour.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

This kit has everything you need to assemble cat5 cables. Crimps great and accurate. Used it right out of the box and got my cables made fast.
