Lives up to the hype.
As a long time Klipsch enthusiast, I had an expectation of what to expect from these.
I've had many different Klipsch products over the years and non of them have disappointed me.
These have kept up that tradition.
These are a well designed, well made and outstanding performing pair of speakers.
I bought these on sale, so the value was better than if I paid list, but I still think for cost of list price these are incredible speakers.
To start, as a book shelf speaker, these will/don't put out earth rumbling low end. What is there is really, really good. To get down to it, get a sub(which I have and use)to get the low end.
Where these speakers shine is mid/highs. The horn loaded tweeter is nothing short of spectacular. The woofer is more of low/mid, but I've covered that already.
This is a very lively, active sounding speaker.
It's been working for all sorts of music for me:rock(classic, fusion, prog, heavy metal, etc.), funk, jazz, smooth jazz, classical/opera, movie scores, these do it all. I'm particularly fond of gaming music and this really worked well with that too. Haven't used them as a theater speaker and don't plan to, but I would imagine that they will work well in that function.
These took a week or two to "break in", about 50 or so hours of use, and they really opened up.
Any review I read online, or viewed on youtube, was spot on with these.
Highly recommended.
