Great Job!
Ordered this when the temperature in our area got below freezing for several days. It has worked great with 0 degree temps. Its short and round size make it a perfect fit for our bird bath and the birds really enjoy having water to drink around the feeder. Seems like a good product if it fits in your bird bath.
It's very hard for me to write a review about this product, because I couldn't use it. It was too big for my bird baths. It was too thick to fit under the water by more than about 1/8th of an inch. That's not enough coverage. I would have to be running to put more water in the bird bath (BB) constantly to keep it submerged. It was also a bit too big around and barely fit between the raised platform, for birds to stand on, in the center of my BB and the outer edge/rim. I will say that it arrived promptly and I had no difficulties returning it for full credit. I think it was built in USA. That is one reason I wanted to at least give it a try. I would recommend it if your BB can accomodate its size and shape. I did a lot of research and felt that this was a good value. It also seemed to be well built. One feature in particular that I thought was great, was the slight bend in the cord where it attaches to the heater. Others I had in the past just came straight out, making it difficult to lay the heater flat while directing the electric cord up and out and over the edge of the BB. With this bend, this product did a pretty good job of laying flat. I ended up just buying a heated bird bath bowl and setting it on top of my regular BB.
